History of the Hotel
Hotel Forelle in Tux has been taking care of visitors from near and far for three generations!
1934 Purchase of "zum Kapeller", an inn with 12 beds and a farm
1951 Family father and innkeeper, Wilhelm Kirchler, is killed in an avalanche.His widow, Berta Kirchler, masters the blow fate has dealt her together with her three sons.
1952 Construction of the first dining room
1957 Construction of the "Kapellerhof" Guesthouse with 35 beds
1961 Construction of an extension with cafe and bar area
1971 Wilhelm Kirchler jun. takes over the hotel
1975 Construction of a public indoor swimming pool with sauna and solarium
1998 Eva and Roland Kirchler take over the hotel
1999 Renovations to the guesthouse, "Kapellerhof" Guesthouse closes
2005 Demolition of the indoor swimming pool, construction of the new guesthouse with all modern comforts,
spa area with various saunas, subterranean connection from the ***Wohlfühlhotel Forelle main building to the ****Garni-Hotel Forelle
2005 Official reopening and 70th company anniversary celebrations
2006 Founding year and opening of the Playarena for children
2008 Membership of Zillertal Alps NATURE PARK
2009 10 years membership of the Tyrolean Inn Association, for the preservation and promotion of Tyrolean culture and cuisine.
2011 Recognised as a "Bewusst Tirol - Consciously Tyrolean" Business by Agrar Austria, for the predominant use of regional and seasonal products.
2012-2013 Further awards as a "Bewusst Tirol - Consciously Tyrolean" Business
2015 "80th Company Anniversary"- in the 3rd generation, extension and conversion of the kitchen and dining room
2017 Extension to include holiday apartments, changeover to separate Hotel Garni and restaurant from summer
